Monica Geneza, MBA

Life threw me a curveball when I faced a physical illness that left me unable to walk. It was a taxing and transformative experience that pushed me to the limits of my physical and mental strength.

I am more than just a personal development and fitness coach; I am living proof that resilience can overcome even the most formidable obstacles.

Every Hero Needs an Origin Story

My body reached its limit. Not only was I physically disabled but my mind and heart were severely burnt out. I was juggling a full time professional career, relationships, a global pandemic, bodily change, and grief. I lost myself in all sense of the word. It was an uphill battle pulling myself out of the dark place. But through grace, grit, and a growth mindset, I started on a path of recovery and ultimately self-discovery.

The Turning Point

The honest explanation for the turning point was asking for help. It was when I allowed help and a support structure into my life that I was able to start mending my mind and body. I discovered that the mind and body are linked and that true health is not only the absence of illness but a state of complete physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

The Approach

I understand the unique challenges individuals face, whether it's physical limitations, mental barriers, or lifestyle constraints. I don't just coach; I inspire, motivate, and partner with you to overcome these hurdles. I believe that everyone has greatness within them and I’m here to unlock that potential.

Fun Facts About Me

  • My personal record for the rubik’s cube solve time is 1:51.

  • I have a Lord of the Rings inspired tattoo.

  • I used to sing at weddings; and my family and friends ask me to sing Schubert’s Ave Maria any chance they get.

  • I have a dog named Tobiko and my very biased opinion is that he’s the cutest dog you’ll ever meet.

  • I love Spartan obstacle course races. I once raced every 3 months ranging from 3-18 miles with up to 30 obstacles. I wasn’t the fastest or fittest but I never gave up and loved the feeling of accomplishment when it was done.
